The added challenge also keeps the city planning more interesting, imho. So once you know what you're doing, you won't encounter them very often. ![]() They are theoretically more complex, and they do have the random stuff you don't want, but those things usually can be prevented with correct city planning. You could also try out the first title, Glory of the Roman Empire, but the later games are far more enjoyable.Īpart from that series, I'd also recommend just trying out some of the more "complex" citybuilders from the Impressions series, anyway. ![]() It's the same series as Imperium Romanum, but significantly more streamlined and simplified with still good-looking cities. Imho, Imperium Romanum was the most complex/difficult game of the series, so I'd rather suggest Grand Ages: Rome with the addon.
